Ceará Delegation Explores Opportunities in the Netherlands

In the first week of July, representatives from the Brazilian state of Ceará visited the Netherlands for an intensive working program. Organised by Chambraz, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Brazil in the Netherlands, the visit focused on renewable energy, water management, and the circular economy.
Over the course of several meetings with policymakers, entrepreneurs, and researchers, it became clear just how strong the interest is on both sides. Dutch expertise in technology and management aligns perfectly with Ceará’s ambitions to accelerate its progress toward sustainable development.
One concrete example of this shared ambition is the plan for a 5-megawatt floating solar park on the Gavião reservoir. Developed by COGERH, Athos, and Accompanied, the project combines water management with clean energy generation and serves as a pilot for larger-scale applications in the future. It highlights how international partnerships can accelerate the energy transition and how Dutch expertise and Brazilian practices complement each other.
The delegation also connected with companies exploring opportunities in innovative solar panel production, digital water monitoring, and sustainable agriculture. These conversations created a strong foundation for follow-up agreements and potential investments.
Accompanied has been active in Ceará for many years and, with its local branch Accompanied Brasil Ltda, has a solid presence in the region. This local foothold makes it possible to build bridges between European technology and Brazilian practice, supporting projects that bring together economic growth and social progress. The experiences and connections made during this week will help take that work further in the months ahead.
